Nutritional Consultations Offered

  • Comprehensive assessments and personalized nutrition plans for cats and dogs of all ages and health conditions (inclusive of complex/multiple health conditions).

  • Commercial Diet Plan: Expert recommendations on selecting the most appropriate commercial diet/s for the patient's specific needs.

  • Weight Management Program: Customized weight loss plans, per assessed body condition, and when needed, individually-measured body fat index, using commercial diets only. Note: Due to concern for nutritional deficiencies and reduced satiety, this service is not available for homemade diets.

  • Formulated Homemade Diet: Customized recipes and guidelines for preparing balanced home-made diets tailored to the patient's medical, lifestyle and nutritional needs.

We tailor our approach to each patient's unique needs, avoiding one-size-fits-all or generic recipes. Instead, we craft recipes tailored to the patient's distinct nutritional and medical requirements, while also considering individual dietary preferences or specific requests when feasible.

To achieve this, we meticulously examine the patient's medical and dietary history, and recent diagnostic results. Dr. Tal-Gavriel will use her extensive knowledge to balance the diet, while using mandatory supplements, in order to ensure the diet is complete and balanced for the patient’s individual needs.

  • Balance an Existing Homemade Diet: Assessment and adjustment of the patient's current homemade diet based on the provided recipe to ensure nutritional balance.

  • Elimination Diet Trial: Design and guidance for novel protein-source elimination diet trials, using either commercial or homemade diets.

  • Diet or Supplement Assessment: Evaluation of the patient's current diet or supplement regimen to identify areas for improvement or optimization.

  • Enteral Tube Feeding Plan: Customized plans and support for enteral tube feeding (E-tube, PEG tube, G-tube) to ensure proper nutrition and care for patients requiring tube feeding.
