Dr. Ellen Williamson graduated in 2013 from OVC at the University of Guelph, where she remained for a year as a rotating intern in Medicine and Surgery. She completed her residency in anesthesiology and pain management at Virginia Tech in 2017, alongside a Master’s degree in veterinary science and a certification in postgraduate education, and achieved board certification later that year. Following completion of her residency, she worked as a clinical instructor in anesthesiology at University of Wisconsin-Madison, then returned to Canada to work with several hospitals in the Toronto area until 2023 when she joined the team at Central Toronto Veterinary Referral Hospital. She lives in Midtown Toronto with her partner Jessica and their two cats, Jack and Jerry. In her free time she enjoys travelling the world and locally, she helps with competitive Magic the Gathering Tournaments as a judge.
