Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Burtynsky furthered her education in the UK, achieving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Surrey. After gaining experience in general and emergency practice in London, England, she returned to Toronto and now works as one of the emergency veterinarians at the CTVRC.
